    Is Xbox Live free?


    I have not been on Xbox in about a year. I was thinking about going back to it on Xbox 360 and I found myself connecting to my account on the PC. So I'm wondering if Xbox Live was free. Can I play online with other people and not have to pay monthly?

    Online multiplayer requires a paid Gold subscription to xbox live.

    please help me.... im new to this xbox thingy and ive been using my profile for nos. of games but the thing is i now was the time im going to log in for xbox live but it keeps on saying "your email is associated with another profile bla bla bla..." which
    is i dont remember anything that i used my email to whoevers' profile.. or is that my pc is connected on that account? because i once play the stock games from my new pc which is under xbox as well

    If you created an account on the PC to play a game, then it sounds like the email you're trying to use is attached to that account. You would either need to download that account to your Xbox and continue using it, or you would need a different email account
    to join Live with the profile on your Xbox.

    Except that his account would still be considered an Xbox live free account. He needs it to be as if he never signed up for xbox live free.
