Is xbox game pass still a good value if you play only a few games a month?

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is £10.99 a month. Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, EA Play for Xbox, EA Play for PC & Xbox Cloud Gaming. So for the extra £4 you are getting a lot of value for money.

a conversion is done base don the time remaining on both subscriptions.

Since you had Gold up to 25-02-2020 and Game pass until 26-07-2019, which means you have Gold for roughle another 8 months and Game pass for little more then a month which in total is about 9-10 months plus the 1month for 1 this totals in about 11 months
of Ultimate. Which is still a great conversion, since the monetary value of both combined is way less.

The up to 36 months part, is if for example people still have 2 years of Gold and 2 years of Game pass left, which at this moment will convert in 48 months, but it's only possible to have 36 months in future, so they will be maxed with 36 months for Ultimate.

So for your situation it's a 'normal' conversion, any future additions of only Gold or Game pass will convert based on monetary value.

Nobody's forcing you to play everything in gamepass. If you only find one or two games you want to play all month the value is still huge.

this is somewhat true, except I dont trade used games i either sale them for about half value a few months later or keep them and give them to my son to play if when he's old enough/wants to check them out. But you do have a point 2 years is good value
but my scenario indicates a game that you only played for 2 weeks...if it was digital you'd be stuck with it..so basically with digital you need to rent it and beat the single player or rent it and play the multiplayer to see if it has replay value to buy
it...either which way the smart thinking person will need to rent a game first before digitally downloading anything that they may not want in a few weeks/months.

As a player, I can only inform you that the Live Gold service has a value, and the game pass has a higher value, when you redeem a different and more expensive service, it converts the amount paid into 12 months of Live Gold and becomes 6 months of Game Pass. The financial amount paid is the same. If you didn't want to convert to Live Gold, you have to wait for the service to end to redeem the new service.
