    Is using a VPN in the game store allowed or will it cause a ban?


    I've seen a lot of VPNs and other websites promoting their product for gaming. As mentioned here:

    It's useful in a lot of ways but would it cause a ban if my IP is detected as a VPN IP?

    If you're using a VPN for security purposes it's not an issue, but using a VPN to bypass region restrictions would violate the terms of service.

    Use of a VPN is not allowed in the Rewards program and can result in a ban from the program. And since Game Pass Ultimate is not available in Pakistan, you wouldn't be able to use it anyway.

    They don't allow the use of a VPN to access rewards. That could be the issue. That can also lead to a ban from the program.

    Your friend may be using a VPN or something to bypass the region restriction, which is not allowed and the Rewards program will ban for that.
