is US ver Black Armor edition compatible with NTSC-J?

I am using Hongkong console

There's no metal box for HK released Dark Souls

I am a fan of metal box, so I am so eager to collect one Black Armor or Collector's Edition from USA

Will USA version with NTSC notice on the front be compatible with my HK console?

ntsc is not compatible with PAL. Ntsc and Ntsc-j are sometimes compatible.

 

Region Free Games.

sorry if i am posting in the wrong place but i could use some info.

will i get banned if i play any region free games on my xbox while signed in to xbox live? (i have a U.S. account)

i really want these games but i don't want to get banned for playing them.

Its should work fine as from what I've found dark souls 2 is region free

I don't think Dark Souls 2 is region locked on consoles, I know that for PC there's region locked versions that you can't activate on Steam if you're out of the region. As for Xbox I doubt there is any region restrictions. To be absolutely sure you could
ask Namco Bandai, or FromSoftware via Twitter or Facebook since they would know the most absolute answer.
