Is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 The Worst Game In 2015 So Far?

I know my son downloaded it on Friday. I've not heard anything from him about problems and usually I get a call first thing if he has any issues lol

I did see something on Twitter about some texture issues but a few reported these issues because they started playing before it was 100% installed. They re-installed it, let it go to 100% before playing and then it was fine.

I do like the look of it. Just looks like a good old fun game but I think I might struggle with the controls. Might consider it later down the line if there's no other games about at the time.

 

what we really need is a new dave mirra bmx game that plays like dave mirra 2 back in the day.

 

Oh yes,they were good fun.

THPS5 isn't without it's problems,i get the texture issues every now & then & have noticed my character can be half way though the floor when I do one of my many bails.

 

To Tony's credit at least he gave us enough time to actually miss his game.

It might be the latest installment in a long list of previous titles but because it's not been stuffed down our throat year after year then we can look back on the Tony Hawk franchise and remember the fun we had with it.

I was tempted to pick this up but the gameplay videos I've seen just aren't very inspiring.

There are some shots of bugs but all games have bugs.

More offputting is the lack of diverse locations. I've seen tons of footage all in the same soulless bland skatepark, probably the "build a park" feature.

Might pick it up when it's cheaper. We'll see.

Looks like a faithful reproduction of the stuff I was doing on the Dreamcast a decade or so ago and that was pretty fun back then.

 

I haven't had a crash yet and basically you can spam every THPS game with glitches, this is no different.
