Is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Priced to high?

Despite my praise on Blops 3, I must say the story while fun to play was very very hard to follow, almost too cerebral! I cant believe I am saying that about a Call of Duty campaign! I still have no idea what that ending was about and at no time did I know
exactly what my goal was lol, still pretty fun to play. I like how they added a real progression system and leveling up with the SP story, very cool. Treyarch always made the best COD games IMO. They also managed to shoehorn the zombies mode into the SP campaign.

 

@enendaveyboy im not hating on it due it being trendy, but im sorry, Call of duty does not have more developement into it, it has been using the same engine for how many years? 10+? alot of call of duty is copy and paste, i would never spend more than 30
CAD on the newer CoD's, but id pay 80 for cod2/cod4/mw2 collection.

 

According to wiki, rainbow six also uses the same engine as it has for while, both companies will state they make significant changes to all them to run there news games to TBH we will never know.

Siege is hardly without a history.

But if you can't see that a campaign needs significantly more development than multiplayer then, combined with 3 very different game types in campaign, MP and zombies, and siege only having one game type.

I am not a COD of duty fan either (I haven't purchased one since ghost), but I can appriciate IMO there should be a difference in price.

But I am happy to agree to disagree.

 

Still absolutely loving this game, was on till nearly 3am last night - which is something I haven't done since probably the Left4Dead games ( my fave MP games of all time)

The only criticism I have is that the severs are seriously wobbly and you can't play terrorist hunt offline but other than that I honestly think it'll be my game of the year.

 

Can I ask why playing terrorist hunt offline is an issue? (serious question, just curious)

 

Yeah it won't actually let you! So if live is down or you can't connect to their servers for whatever reason then you can't play TH offline - absolutely sucks and I can't honestly see why they've done it. I can see them sorting that out tbh because there
are a lot of unhappy people complaining about it on their forums.

 

See this is crap! I am really sick of this stuff. Online online online, man sometimes I honestly wish the internet would go down permanently VIA EMP! I really do. Now our games are held hostage when your online goes down, everything is going in the wrong
direction. I can see the future of gaming and its ugly and wrong. Its only going to get worse from here guys, trust me.

In all fairness it is touted as being an online game but it just annoys me a little that you can play on your own against bots in terrorist hunt but as soon as the servers fall over it greys the option out! If it's available with bots online just make it
available offline!

Still love the game though and and I did manage to sink nearly 45 hrs on it last week whilst off work so I'd say I've already had my money's worth and am nowhere near bored.

 

@mark, thanks for the response, its interesting getting other opinions, most of the games I play are just MP, so if live is down I just don't play, but I can see it from your point of view, I wonder what the programming constrains are for both making on
or/and offline you would think its not an issue both way, or if its a developer wanting it online so they can get stats, I would love to know the real arrangement from their side.

I am prefer the options , even if i don't use them., hope they get it sorted for you.

 

Yeah it's bizarre, there must be some shenanigans going on somewhere.

It's still imo an outstanding tactical shooter, anyone who enjoys a slower paced shooter will I'm pretty sure love it, but it could do with sorting out this problem so if you have online problems you can still play if wanted - the bots are absolutely brutal
on some modes so can give a real challenge if you want.
