  1. Is this TV good for my new xbox one S?

    Hello,

I just bought new Xbox one S, and still waiting for it to arrive, hopefully in a couple days. I was looking to get a TV for it as well since I don't want to hook it to my main TV, so after looking at few options, I found this https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sceptre-U435CV-U-43-4K-Ultra-HD-2160p-60Hz-LED-HDTV-4K-x-2K/46867816, have
anyone used it here? I'm not into TV stuff, so is this should be good for the new Xbox S?

Please don't suggest to buy an expensive TV, it's not about the budget, it's more like I don't care that much about 4K videos, it would be nice to have as an option though. And from what I heard that Xbox one S will not play 4k video games, is that correct?
So just for video games, should I stick to a regular cheap HD TV? Or should I get the one in the link? or can someone recommend a good tv that is about 150-250$ Which will give me better gaming experience.

    Thanks

    :)

  3. 4K TV 120HZ vs 60HZ for Gaming.

I will be upgrading my TV to a 4K HDR television in preparation for the Xbox One X.

My question is whether a 120Hz tv is needed or a 60Hz? From my understanding is that most games will run at 60fps so does this mean a 60Hz tv show just as good as a picture as a 120Hz tv?

No HDR support on that TV which is actually the more important feature, not all 4K TV's support HDR but you will only find HDR on 4K TV's (so far).

Look around on that site for something in your price range with HDR, thats the main visual improvement of the Xbox One S, if you have no interest then just spend your money on a good quality 1080p set.

Also avoid anything from Samsung that is generation 6xxx, only generation 8 and 9 sets fully support HDR. Samsung advertise generation 6 support it but it doesn't really do anything as the internal hardware is not fully HDR compliant.

One of the cheapest I can see on the site you link to is this LG for $639, proper HDR 4K TV's do not come cheap.

  5. Cool, thanks for answering me, well I want 4k, but I don't want it to a point that I would spend that much for it, sure thing I will get one in the future, but just not yet, so I guess I will stay with cheap 1080P for now.

I got a 32" vizio from walmart it's 2 years old and no problems so far it got 2 hdmi ports in the back.

I got my xbox 1 & 360 both hooked up to it. I just change the plug in the wall for which ever xbox I wanna play. I think it was between $150-$180 don't remember exactly.

one thing I will say get a tv with the speaker in the front of the tv not the back. I was gonna get a 37" one but that speaker was in the back and wasn't as loud as the 32" one. then you won't have to get a speaker bar for it.

HDR for xbox series s on a 1080 tv

I did hear this was an issue with Samsung tv's which is not so good because my wife came home on Saturday with a new Samsung crystal tv. Not tried it with the series s yet. I'm not allowed to steal her new tv.
