    Anyone else going "Digital Only"?

@Stanng External Hard drives won't be supported AT LAUNCH. That is a big difference from what you've actually stated.

USB drive, external drive didn't work with Xbox one.

USB drive, external USB drive didn't work with Xbox one. Do you know if it will have a update to connect a USB external hard drive?

I think it's a big missing. Possibility to play MP3, pictures, video from the External drive and perhaps extend Xbox one capacity storage.

Hope it will have a update soon...

    Thank you for answer me

Is this external drive big enough?

The minimum is 256 GB of available space, and anything under that can't be used to store games and apps, but can be for music and video. After a quick search on Amazon, I would personally go with this one anyway since it's cheaper and bigger:

  6. I think you could have problems with this you have to install something on your PC/Laptop which lets you create a password only then can you format it on your PC, I cant see how you could format using your console which you need to do.

  7. I would just by a WD 2tb sata3 drive for same money. You'll get no performance gains from ssd on Xbox one except for game start time. The internal drive is only SATA ii and games are so big I even have 2/3 of my 2tb filled already. If its a drive you already
have fine but the WD passport 2.5 drives are great no power worries runs of the Xbox. Faster then the original drive games startup faster but Xbox loads the full game into memory it doesn't use a drive like a computer does reading constantly when running a
    program or game.

@bharris291, the main reason I am wanting an SSD is for Fallout 4. For normal games going to an SSD probably won't affect anything except game startup like you said, but Fallout 4 is different than your normal game. Check out the videos to see what I mean.

  9. FYI, for anyone curious about buying an external SSD drive a 250GB will work.

Thanks for the update. Glad it worked out for your needs.

It is just 250 GB is really small with the size of today's games. For the same money you could get a much larger HDD and be able to store many more games.

    Happy gaming!!

  11. It's a 250GB SOLID STATE DRIVE. It will just be used for games that require a lot of disk drive activity like Fallout 4 does. If you haven't played Fallout 4 to see how long it takes to load certain parts of the game you wouldn't know what I am talking about.
If you have played Fallout 4 going to a SOLID STATE DRIVE will improve load times 2X to 4X faster.

  12. I know what you mean like 5 minutes to go through a door got me thinking now 250GB would be just fine for that.

Yeah I had a raid array on a seagate HDD that fell apart a few years ago, And a lot of people seem to have had other problems with seagate. So, Anyway what I would like to find is a large SSD for the xbox. Right now, Spring 2016, There are only a couple
of companies on the market. And their drives are about $1,000. What is this 250 GB SSD that you're using? Thanks pSyam (sam)
