Is this a legitamte reason to report?

If someone is playing a character I don't like on my team, and they aren't in chat, is that enough grounds to report them?

The thing is it's not even a good game. The first one was better and it's bundled with Forza Motorsport 2 for like 6 bucks. You can buy UA2 for PS2 for around $2-$5, but for 360 its $30-$80 and the DLC doesn't even work anymore. It's just not worth it. I
was wanting it for my kids because they still play the first one, but it's not worth that much.

The reason for the price is because there is a limited supply (as it is no longer being printed) and now an increasing demand (the game has been out 3 years, but everyone wants it now because of the Avengers movie)

Typically, no. Although, it all depends on if the character was a threat, or was intimidating to you/other players.

The character would have to portray hostility to someone or something.

 

Well this has happened to me. I played an unpopular character and wasn't in chat. And people reported me for that. No, the character doesn't portray hostility.

said I SHOULD be reported for "not communicating and not "obeying" my team when they tell me to switch". They said that this WAS grounds for being reported. They said:

"not talking to your team which can be deemed unsportsmanlike"

"What part of sportmanship do you think disobeying your own team.is part of? "

"Picking a bad character and arguing with your teammates about it is bad teM work" (Even though I specifically said I don't argue, as I don't message or join chat.

Do you agree with them? You can read the thread if you want, but basically I don't argue or join chat or send abusive messages. And I don't try to lose or troll or grief. All I do is play a character people don't like.

I responded to these 2 saying I shouldn't have to "obey" my team like they're my superiors, and that as long as I'm not grieffing, trolling, being aggressive towards players or anything like that, shouldn't I be able to play who I like? But they responded
with "arguementive yet you claim to be a good sportman (That telling of your behavior)".

I couldn't sat anything without these 2 attacking me, calling me argumentative and saying I deserved to be reported for not being in chat and not switching characters when my team told me to.

Please can you share your opinion on this?

(BTW, my rep has been "good" for almost 3 years. It has gone to "avoid me' in the last week because of this)

 

(Also I tried posting my thread in a different manor and reading others threads about it, and these 2 seem to be the only 2 admins to comment on every single thread. I can't get anyone elses input because these 2 say what they want then close threads. They've
been the first and almost only ones to comment on almost every thread I've looked at, dating back about 3 years.)

 

1: We are not admins

2: We did not lock your thread's,a member of the official Microsoft staff did because you had been answered correctly & were making duplicate threads which as you were told is against forum rules.

3: We do not "say what we want",we answer questions & you have already been answered in one of your other threads.

4: Calling out gamertags is also against forum rules.

The forum rules are at the top of the page,it may be worth a read before making another thread.

It doesn't matter what anyone here thinks,if a report is legit then it will affect your rep,if it isn't then it will not affect your rep.Simple as that.

 

Ambassadors, sorry. I didn't mean to "call out" the GT's, I was just saying them so the other ambassador would know what comments to look at if they wanted to see what I was talking about. THIS IS a different thread, asking for peoples opinions on if these
are legitimate reasons for reporting. I enjoyed getting the input of the ambassador that commented here first, and would like to get opinions of others. It seems like you personally have been the first ambassador to comment on every thread about enforcement
for the last 3 years. So excuse me if I would like to hear the opinions of the other ambassadors. I now know at least one doesn't agree with your ideals of "unsporting teamwork". The vast majority of Xbox users do not use headsets, and nobody feels that all
of the should be reported every game because of it. If people were reported every time they weren't in chat, as you believe to be right, nearly everyone would be banned by now.

 

That's not what I said.

I never said everyone who doesn't use chat should be reported.

What i said was if you do not communicate with your team in a team based game it can be considered unsportsman like behaviour.

Unsportsman like behaviour can lower your rep.

Playing a character that someone doesn't like isn't a legit reason to report someone.

Of course you enjoyed the input of the ambassador that posted first,it was the answer you wanted to hear.

As I already mentioned,it doesn't matter anyway,if a report is false then it will have no impact on your rep whatsoever.

I very rarely play team based games with randoms now because no one communicates.

Actually the majority of xbox users do use headsets,they are just usually in party chat.

But doesn't not being in chat mean you're not communicating? And therefore is unsportsman like and could earn you a valid report?

You said you rarely play with randoms because they rarely communicate, but did you report them all for not communicating? Do you think it would be valid to?

 

Do you agree with the other ambassador in that thread that I should "obey" my team? And when he purposely made a personal insult at me by saying "arguementive yet you claim to be a good sportman (That telling of your behavior)"? Do you support that kind
of treatment towards the community? If not, why do you not calmly correct it?

 

"Nin communication is a valid report" said your fellow ambassador. This is what I was referring to when I said "If people were reported every time they weren't in chat..."

 

He also repeatedly told me to "get along with the team better" and "not argue with them", after I had stated that I do not argue with any of the team as I don't speak to them at all. Do you consider this behavior from a fellow ambassador appropriate? I don't
understand why an ambassador can be this rude towards a community member without another ambassador calling them out and reminding them that they should be more mature than that and try to keep the peace.

 

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel I was being very respectful to the ambassadors. I did not cuss or insult them in any way. I don't think I deserve the treatment I received in that thread.
