  1. Is this a hardware issue?

Good afternoon. Now I've had the Xbox1 since the day of release. Up to date, other than the issues pretty much everyone else has had (networking, broken games etc), I've been reasonably happy.... until recently.

Probably the sole reason I bought the new Xbox was because of Gears. I bought the Ultimate edition & was stoked to hear that I then got to play the Beta for Gears 4 early! I pre-installed the Beta & jumped in as soon as it landed... I was having graphical
issues which rendered the game unplayable. (Check out my game clips to see what was happening).

More recently, I've bought Overwatch. Again, looks an awesome game so was happy to part ways with £55 to get it. As soon as the game installed & I jumped on.... graphical issues rendering the game unplayable.

This has to be a hardware issue... right?

    :)

  2. Is This FIFA 15 or the Hardware?

I wish that was the problem, i factory reset my router and had UPNP enabled & then disabled as that is known to cause issues with FIFA 15 but no it also happens offline even with my internet unplugged leaving just the power cable and the HDMI cable in the
X1 which is another reason i am thinking it is hardware related, update or patch related? I have also tried another Live Account and same results, i have 'Hard Reset' by holding the power button for around 10 seconds untill the system shuts off and then waiting
20 seconds before powering back on, i have also tried this and removed the power brick from both the X1 and the wall outlet they are the only ways i know of to perform a 'Hard Reset'...

    Hi RuG TheMunchies,

Sorry you're having issues with your console. A couple of tests to would be first to reinstall the games. To do that, go to games and apps, games, select the tile of the game, press menu, manage, and uninstall. After that reinstall the game to make sure.
If that doesn't work, then you could try doing a factory reset with the
    steps here
. Your saves should be saved to the cloud if you keep your Xbox connected to the internet. If those don't work, you may need to do a repair which you can request
    here.

  6. I've tried both re-installing & the factory reset. Same issues. I think it's probably going to be a GPU issue, but it's strange that it ONLY happens on 2 games?! (thanks for replying so quickly btw!).

Also, £84 for the repair... and I imagine I will have to pay for the shipping too... ouch.

I am having the EXACT same issues, only on certain games in dark areas, witcher 3 night sky for example. Have you found out what was causing this? I also have a freind who has recently noticed this? Are you in the preveiw program?

I would try a couple more things before sending for repair:

    1. Check your HDTV settings in the Xbox setup and run calibration. Make sure you have settings compatible with your TV - refresh rate, etc
    2. Try a different HDMI cable. Sometimes a color-cast can be a faulty cable.
    3. Where are the games stored - internal or external hard drive? If external, try moving to internal or vice-versa.

Are you in an area where there are alot of electrical signals (routers, phones using Bluetooth, etc..) thats been an issue for me and others. Try moving your console away from any routers and the like, and see of that helps.

    Hi Buddy;

Sometimes Internet drops on me too, alot. During game play and after; I found my internet speed reduce badly. It was too slow to on games. It's best to re-boot the cable modem & re-boot the router. It tells the internet provider to restore you internet speed.

Turn off the XBox for any 1hour or 2hrs more. When your modem & router is back up. Check your internet speed online. Turn on your XBox.

    Check internet on XBox..
