Is there something wrong with the Movies &TV app?

I have been having this problem for almost 2 years now. At first I thought it was just a glitch in the console/purchases. But I’m starting to become convinced that it’s a software issue. I have done every one of the troubleshooting steps on more than one occasion and it still gives me the same error code message that there is no internet connection, but yet I can go into other apps and use the internet just fine. I can usually get past the message after trying for about 5 minutes, but it’s aggravating if I’m trying to watch a series and it does it before every episode. I’m basically wasting time pressing the play button over and over.

Based on your description, you are trying to watch movies and is unable to because of the issue you are getting on Movies & TV app. We know that you are looking forward to getting this fixed. We suggest you send feedback to the app. If there is no feedback on the app from Xbox Console, you may submit a feedback using Windows device. Hi, thanks for the reply.

I tried allocating the xbox which has the movie on "Movie and TV" app to "my home xbox" and then trying to tie in to that home xbox "Movies and TV" from my daughters xbox (which is currently designated as "this is not my home xbox") but am not able to see
the movie when I go into "movies and TV" from her xbox. I am sure I am doing something wrong; any help would be appreciated. (I am able to see the movie from my pc tho but doesn't help as my daughter wants to watch these movies on her xbox). Thanks again...

So something may be wrong with their servers, not on your setup, I'm pretty sure.

You can try to uninstall and then install the Movies & TV app. Your movie collection will not be removed by taking these steps:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select Home.

Select My games & apps.

Select Apps, and then highlight the Movies & TV tile.

Press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Uninstall.

On the confirmation screen, select Uninstall all.

Restart your console: Press and hold the Xbox button  in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console > Restart.

Once your console has restarted, scroll right to the Store area, and then select Movies & TV.

Select My movies & TV.

Select Install to download and install the Movies & TV app.

Xbox servers are showing as normal but you can report something not working properly to them by clicking on the "Report a service outage" section:

Same issue audio is correct but the video is the wrong episode, using the movies and tv app on the xbox one, please help was really looking forward to watching this

That would be cool to hear your results. There are so many variables, I feel it has something to do with TV/HDMI sync or something with the way Netflix compresses the stream. Whatever it is, Microsoft Movies & TV app does not have the issue, so
I think it's something with Netflix's app design. Or maybe if I upgrade to a 4K TV, it will go away. It should work at 1080p just as Microsoft Movies & TV does with Atmos enabled.

Going on vacation for a week and havent had a chance to check. :/
