Is there something wrong with PIN management?

Sometime last year when I joined the Preview program, I started using a PIN code instead of typing in my password whenever I wanted to use my console, and it's been great to just punch in a six-digit combination.

Over the past two months, however, I've noticed an issue. Several times when I've entered my PIN, I am then asked to enter my password as well, except the whole point of the PIN is you shouldn't need a password to use your account.

I know there's been frequent issues lately with the Matchmaking system, so I was wondering if your PIN system is bugged as well now.

My Pins

Not sure what forum this needs to be in but is there something wrong with My Pins? Mine tries to load for a few minutes then comes up totally empty. When I go to something that was pinned I see the option that says pin to home. If I try to Pin it I get
an error saying there is a problem with My Pins. I see no service alert for this.

For me it's the other way around. I used to hate FPS when I was younger than I started playing them and enjoying them. It is true that a lot of FPS are much of the same and I will agree that I am somewhat tired of some of the FPS and how similar they are.
But I still get fun out of some.

Hi, if you are getting that error something is wrong with that cable, you have already proven this by connecting using another cable successfully.
Ensure all of the pins are wired correctly something must be wrong somewhere.

I just went to purchase and download it and it's only giving me an option to "pin to home" with no option to purchase or download.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it the service, like with what f00 said?

Sorry to hear it. In order to reset the pin the person who put it on will either need to enter the correct pin or type in the wrong pin 3 times before they're given an option to enter their password if they've forgotten the pin

This happens often with Bluetooth devices, you may want to update your contoller by hooking it up to your xbox via USB and go to settings, then to devices and accessories. This will take you to the xbox accessories app, find your controller in the app, go
to the three dots, click firmware update and update to the latest version.

If your controller is already up to date, try to connect to your phone with the pin 1234.
