Is there seriously still no way to delete dlc without the game?!

So someone downloaded the free Battlefield dlc onto my console and I want to get rid of it because I don't have/want those games but I can't uninstall it because the only way to uninstall dlc requires you to have the game.

So basically instead of simply being able to access the content on my HDD I'm supposed to what, drive down to GameStop and pay $60 to buy games I don't want so I can remove dlc I don't want? People were complaining about this when the console came out and
I can't believe after years this is still an issue.

So does anyone know of a way around this?

P.S. Microsoft, If you aren't going to let us access our hard drives at least give us the option to uninstall dlc through the store (you know how it says "installed" put a drop down that says "uninstall").

Uninstalling DLC

Did everything. It stills says Installed. Nothing has changed.

Anything else I can do? Is there no really way to delete DLC after Uninstalling the game?

 

How does one download "content download'

There is no way to download DLC without connecting the console to the internet.

 

According to the xbox feedback site this issue was resolved here:

Yet that doesn't seems to be the case for if your purchase only the dlc without the game you have no option to delete the dlc. Seems there is time somebody posted another request with clear instructions regarding this issue

Go to My Games and Apps - go hover over the game with the DLC you wish to delete - Press the View Button on the controller or the Menu button and go to Manage game - Hover over the DLC press the Menu button once again and uninstall the DLC

Unfortunately this suggestion doesn't work, if like the OP you've installed DLC for a game you have never owned the game doesn't show in My Games and Apps.

I had the same problem with the free BF4 DLC, but as it had installed to my external drive I was able to format it to reclaim the 6.3GB of space it was using.

Why can't the One have the same storage management that the 360 has.... simple, easy to use and I can delete whatever I want!

 

As mentioned by Yanustine, the 'Manage Game' option is only available if you actually have access to the game the DLC is for. If you download DLC for a game you have never owned (i.e. the free BF4 DLC recently), the DLC becomes stranded somewhere in storage
and you have no way to browse to it.

This is a significant oversight by MS and should be addressed asap. At the moment the removal options are to either buy the game in question or do something drastic like format your HDD/External.

Settings > System > Storage should provide a way to browse internal & external data, just as the 360 does. It should not be a shortcut to 'My Games and Apps' filtered by storage type.

 

I ended up having to buy a subscription to EA Access to remove the dlc, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Like I said if they aren't going to give us the option to, at the very least, delete things off our HDD then they should let us uninstall dlc via the store. Right now if you have dlc installed and you go to it in the store it says "installed" so all they
need to do is add a drop down that let's you uninstall it.

Maybe more people should be made aware of this problem, because there are not many right now. I myself just noticed it while trying to delete Battlefield DLC that I installed free with Gold.
