Discus and support is there really still no way to just delete a gamertag from your microsoft account? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; is there still no way I can delete my xbox live gamertag from my microsoft account even though I don't use said xbox live gamertag?...     is there still no way I can delete my xbox live gamertag from my microsoft account even though I don't use said xbox live gamertag?

    There is no way for Microsoft to delete inactive Gamertags.

    The account is somebody's, but most likely not in use.

    Microsoft cannot just delete it because they are not using it.

    Gamertag question?

    Unless the gamertag is deleted you will never get it. Microsoft deletes gamertags from time to time if they have not been used in a very long time. There is no way your going to get the tag you want deleted though, your just going to have to be patient and
    hope you get it if it ever becomes available again.

    You can move the gamertag to a different Microsoft account.

    You can move the gamertag to a different Microsoft account.

    Deleting an account to link it to another?

    Make a new Windows Live ID, connect the Xbox Gamertag from the ID on your new laptop to the fake account you just made, link you Xbox Gamertag to the Windows Live ID on your laptop and delete the fake account.

    This is actually the hard way, but I don't really know how Windows 8 works: if you could just delete the ID from your computer and connect the one with your favourite Gamertag that would be the easy way.

    When you say you deleted your Gamertag, do you mean from your console? I don't know a way to delete the account itself. The email, sure, that can be closed down, but the Microsoft Account may still be up and running. If so, I would recommend re-downloading
    your profile to your Xbox console, then follow the steps
    here     to move your Gamertag to your current email.

    That gamertag does still exist. Microsoft don't really 'fully' delete accounts all that often.
