Is there place on a console for a turn based game?

Well hopefully more come to the console this gen. Sounds like a starving genre. Not a genre I have played too much myself, more so games with that aspect inside them (like my FF7 post above).

PUDDIN I loved FF8. It was hard for me to understand the level up system but when I got used to it, man it was awesome. I wouldn't shake my head at a remake of either FF7 or 8. Turn based battles just make it less mayhem and give you more time to be strategic.

Hehe FFVIII Junction's System was so broken. You could become so OP within the first few hrs of playing if you know what you were doing.

I've just recently come to the conclusion I really love Turn-Based Strategy. I was always at RTS and never could get into them but Civ Rev and XCOM have shown me that there strategy games for me. I'm all for more turn-based games of any kind but I would
thing Turn-based Strategy fits with consoles better than RTS.

I do like turn based games. I really enjoyed eye of judgement on PS3. You had to scan physical cards with the PS3 eye camera. It was a fun game and I think the Xbox one could Benefit from a game like that as it will give kinect something to do.

not what I originally ment but I like Yu gi Oh but it to bloody expensive to play IMO.

Although the turn based games I was talking about could be proper cross platform gaming since all the processing would be done elsewhere.

Anyway I hope someone sorts it out. fingers crossed.

Yeah, I used to play several games like that. The ones that stand out in my mind are "Its a Crime" and "Diplomacy". They were a lot of fun. You sent in orders once a week, the rest of the time you were plotting with other players on how to work together
or how to stab them in the back... always looking for an advantage.

It would be fun to play a game like that again...
