    is there anyway to reprogram the daughterboard to match the motherboard on a xbox one x?


    So i go a console off of ebay and i kept getting a e100 error just to find out that its likely the disc drive is misplaced. I was wondering if there was anyone or anyway to like reprogram the daughterboard to match the motherboard. If anyone at microsoft or some repair shop can do this that would be appreciated or if someone can tell me how.

    Obsessive Power you were right most of the way but your information on the 4gb chip was not accurate it is indeed removable if you want it removed but i don't see why you would anyways its like a daughterboard its a little chip that is connected to the motherboard
    though a pin header and can be taken off easily but do it carefully. P.S rate this info please

    2 broken systems into one working system?

    The mainboard and DVD-ROM daughterboard are "married" to each other on each Xbox 360 console, so there's no use in cannibalizing the hardware without getting a console ban the next time you connect it to XBL.

    DIY-repairs aren't covered on the official Xbox forums, anyway. There are plenty of other online sources that will help you with that, though. Good luck!
