Is there anyway of downloading the halo update without having the game

i doubt there is, but I would like to start downloading the update at midnight Monday ready to play Wednesday as my internet is 2mb download ATM lol

so is there a way of doing or do I need to wait for the game to be delivered

Destiny "Cant Download"

I had gotten the disc copy of the game today and Im having a hard time downloading it also.. Transfering game content: working, Downloading Update: working, Downloading from xbox games store: not working.. Idk why that would be there anyway i didnt buy the
game at the xbox games store.. what to do?

 

Installing Games

It installs the whole disc only if there are no updates.

If there are updates then it will pull the updated files off the internet as the game is installed.

Dead rising 3 for instance downloads 12GB while installing even though the game is only about 20GB on disc.

So the only time the whole disc is installed without downloading anything is if there are no updates available.

You can avoid this by disconnecting your console from the internet before installing a disc. This will let the whole disc install without downloading anything. Problem is that next time you connect it will insist on downloading the update anyway.

 

You'll have to wait for the game to be delivered mate.

Where did you order from? No chance it may turn up Monday ?

Surely you mean ready to play Tuesday? I mean the game is released tomorrow.

 

Nope I mean Wednesday it took something stupid like 12-13 hours to download 7 gig update the other day as there's something wrong with our internet lol and as I heard this is a 20 gig update god knows how long it will tale

 

Well the good news is it isn't a 20GB update, it's only 15GB. Guess it'll still take a while to update it though.

You may know this already but if you don't it's handy.

When you get the game, disconnect from the internet and just install it from the disc.

Once that's done then go online and when you start the game you'll be prompted for the update.

Speed things up by only downloading the update and leaving your XBox alone. If you can, try and install it in the morning. There are less people online and it will load faster.
