Is there anyway I can make games look better on my 4K tv

I have a LG 4k Tv and I would like to know if theirs a way to make the graphics look any better while playing the Xbox one. When I bought my 4k TV I thought Xbox supported 4k, but it doesn't, it lessens the quality on games and makes it look ugly. Is there
a way to set my 4k TV to 1080p or is there any way to make games look better on 4k

Xbox One "Scorpio"!?

Can i ask, and this is going off what Phil said in his post e3 interview, is the scorpio only for those with a 4K TV. I want to buy one in 18 months time but will only have a 1080 tv. So, will my games still look better on my 1080 e.g better draw distances,
frame rate, 1080, more effects and better lighting or is the Scorpio just a 4k TV scaling device?

What resolution?

Best to leave it as it is. There won't be any performance penalty, none enhanced games run better on the X than the standard console anyway. The One X will automatically scale 1080P games to a 4K display - obviously they won't be proper 4K. But, they
should look better than dropping your console resolution to 1080P, therefore forcing your TV/Monitor to use it's own down-scaling, which may not look as crisp.

Any TV and device combo is going to only be as good as the best the lesser item can handle. 4k TV is nice and future proof but it's not going to make a device better then it inherently is. If a game is only built to be 720p the best 1080p TV isn't going
to matter for the most part. Perhaps 4k support and development will come in the future, but right now I'm unaware of anything that your setup can take advantage of.

If the image is bad though perhaps you can make sure your settings are running at their best. To into settings and choose the proper settings for your TV instead of using auto-select. You can also go into the TV configuration and follow the steps to establish
your tv's settings. Good luck.

You don't need 4K but to get the full benefit of the console it would be better to have a 4K TV.

Games will look a bit better on a normal HDTV but personally i'd just get the Elite or 1TB Xbox One if I didn't have a 4K TV.

UPDATE! I figuered out the problem finally....it was me being a xbox one x and 4k tv newb lol. So my tv is 120hz refresh rate so in the settings of course i put 120hz...didnt know when i did that it reverted the display setting to 1440p instead of 4k....so
anyways, now when i setup the clips to record in 4k it is now working, so basically i just needed to leave the settings at 4k @ 60hz...and wow now my games look and play even better, i’ve been playing at only 1440p this entire time! Anyways thanks everyone
for trying to help me i really appreciate it and sorry for the confusion on my part lol.
