Is there anything else instead of compressed air, that I can use to clean my Xbox One S?

If you take the cover off your console and then need it repaired (even out of warranty) they will not repair it.

I do not know if it is right to indicate compressed air, depending on the pressure can damage something inside the console, what I do is after use put a protection on top of the console.

Hopefully if anyone covers their xbox they would make sure the console isn’t set to automatically download updates. Thats a different power mode that could still lead to a console not having adequate ventilation.

My wife covered one of my S consoles with a folder by accident, when i came home from work i noticed it and removed the folder only to notice it was extremely warn to the touch. It too was set to auto download updates/fast start up.

This might sound alittle weird but I would get a vacuum hose and suck out the vents, that way you are not using compressed air to blow dust into the vents. The vacuum really depends on the hose and suction power, might not be the best way but its a viable
way if you have neglected to ventilate and clean your Xbox in awhile.

This is a very good point! Keep in mind that some places offer cheap covers that are easy to put on/take off, just remember to take it off before use and putting it back on after you're finished
