As the title asks is it possible? Or do I need to wait for the subscription to run out then buy a year long membership?

Gold 3 month to 12 month

I am wanting to upgrade from my 3 month gold membership to a 12 month gold membership... Problem is, I cannot figure out how to do this task.. any suggestions, or advice?

It's not possible to play any XBOX 360 games online without a Gold Membership. If you were playing before they had a "free gold weekend" on 6/1-6/3, and if you created a new XBOX Live account from your console you got 1 free month of XBOX Live Gold, after
that you'll need to pay for a subscription, there is no other way around that.

If you're doing the prepaid months, you can always add more prepaid time even while in the middle of a subscription.

Any new time should be appended (or "stacked") onto the last day your current subscription ends.

So yes, if you're currently using your 3-month prepaid time, you could go and buy a 12-month prepaid code right now, redeem it on your account, and it'll be stacked on top of the final day your 3 month subscription expires. Once your 3 month subscription
expires, your account should automatically start using the new 12 months without interruption.

If that is the case it's best contact officlal Xbox Support by Phone or Microsoft Support chat option at
support.xbox.com/contact-us

They might be able to change the subscription or advise what steps need to be taken

Most of us stack for ,3 years then upgrade to ultimate after a month for ,3 years of xgu

let it expire then buy anything upto 3 years on gold. and then pay the £10 for the ultimate one month and you get all pre existing memberships upgraded to ultimate upto 3 years.

So if I currently have 11 months left of a xbox live subscription could I purchase another year membership of live and then upgrade to ultimate? Does that mean that my paid for gold subscription will just convert into whatever time I have left of an ultimate subscription? how much is it each month to convert?
