    I use my computer as my primary method of listening to music or watching tv. Often, I play casual games on one screen, and have music or tv running on the other. That's why I'm sorry to report that some of Microsoft's casual games break one of the cardinal
    rules of casual games, in that they are apparently not entirely mutable. Firstly, it seems that every little thing one does in your games must be "rewarded" with a notification popping up - with the accompanying pling. I suppose I could turn this off, but
    that would mean also turning off notifications that I care about, such as when something important stops working etc. That's slightly annoying, but if I play the game more, I suppose the achievements get fewer. The big problem, however, is advertising. As
    a rule, I don't particularly mind advertising, but I really, REALLY dislike it when someone shouts in my ear without warning - and especially when my music gets interrupted. In this case, I was surprise attacked by Microsoft Jigsaw in this manner right away,
    and by Microsoft Mahjongg after a while, and I immediately uninstalled both games. Now I am seriously considering switching to another brand of bread, since this advert happened to be for my regular brand, and as I may have mentioned, I really, REALLY dislike
    being shouted at.

    Now, this rant actually has a point. I would like to ask if there is a method of muting these games completely, and if not, to suggest adding one. I might add that I'm not going to pay for the ad free version, since I am not in the habit of giving anyone
    money to stop making noise at me - besides. Microsoft is not the Salvation Army, as far as I know. Besides, there are many more casual games around - I was just disappointed that these nice looking ones were compromised by noise pollution.

    Actually, FatherSama, that isn't entirely accuate. You can go into storage using your profile to copy or move a game save belonging to another profile and it will then become your game save. The catch, however, is that you are not able to unlock achievements
    using this game save.

    Xbox making high pitched squealing noises!!

    It happen also to me with my Xbox One Fat, the only way to make it stop was unplugged it...but one day it stops, without any advice.

    What Xbox do you have and from how long it's making noise?

    Its been making the noise for quite a while now, a lot longer then i should have been letting it go on. My xbox one is one of the original ones. I don't have an s or x.

    Happened to me too but wen i plug the jack in the adaper half way it makes noise but wen i speak it stops if i hit it make noise showing the mic is still good

    What kind of noise does it make? Is it buzzing or grinding noise? The noise is coming from the little internal fan and it's been know that some faulty units make this noise.

    The power brick on my Xbox 360 Slim used to make a loud grinding noise when I had it from new. To stop the noise I used to pick up the brick and give it a few hard taps with the palm of my hand. Once I did that it didn't make any noise for the duration of
    that play session until then next time the machine was switched on again.

    Strangely enough, I never had the brick replaced and it now it no longer makes any noise. If you are concerned though and you can't get the brick be quite you should take up a repair request with Microsoft Support to get it replaced.
