Is there any way to link xbox live account onto my Minecraft Mac account?

I both own minecraft for the Mac and nintendo switch my friends have a realm made on the nintendo switch but i cant join them anymore due to a bug that wont allow me to connect my microsoft account on the switch. So i was wondering if there is a way to
link my microsoft account on the mac so i can join the realm they have.

HI, fellow Mac user here as well.... unfortunately the Mac version will not allow the linking of a Microsoft account. You would have to have the Windows 10 version on PC in order to do so. Sorry there wasn't a way for you to do this.

But my Minecraft launcher is linked to my Microsoft account, and in the past I was able to play Minecraft on my Mac when it was linked to my Microsoft account.

I had to go onto my Microsoft account, link it to an Xbox account and create a Xbox gamertag. Then I restarted Minecraft on my Playstation and it let me log in!

I don't think that is the problem. He's able to get onto MineCraft and access Live Gold features using my account, just not his.

Any other ideas?

I bought it off of Minecraft’s site through my microsoft account, so if I happened to buy it on the wrong account, is there any way to refund the money or get the game onto my account? I have looked into my different microsoft accounts but none of them have the game that I purchased.
