    Two days ago my PC got hacked and someone got into my Microsoft account and changed the email. I contacted the Support but got this answer

    'Thank you for your Microsoft account recovery request.

    Unfortunately, we are not able to assist you with your request. Your Microsoft account appears to be provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Please contact your ISP to assist you with your account recovery.

    The account recovery request 167921305 for the account iy***** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** will be closed.'

    Even though, my email never had anything to do with my ISP, and I am not associated with rambler.ru in any way, shape or form, is there any way to retrieve my account back? I have a purchase history and one drive attached as it was my ONLY Microsoft account, and now all my data, video games, apps etc. are lost.

    Hello again, this is really weird, ideally contacting Xbox customer service so they can provide you with the best guidance for your case.

    I already went through the recovery form and got the reply that I've mentioned in the thread. Even though my email has nothing to do with my ISP, and the fact that I have the email where it says my password got changed from United States (although I live in EU), and can't do anything to recover my account that is VERY valuable to me is unbelievable.

    We have found out the cause (and this was their fault I would say mostly) but it was a scam on Hypixel where they gave a person 1 time access to their account for an unknown thing and didn't realize what happened but now they don't have any control of their account (we think that they possibly changed the password). Anything we can do or no possibly because it was pilot's error?
