is there any way that i can make my xbox my home xbox again if your out of switches

If you've reached your limit you'll have to wait a year until you can change it again.

My Xbox said I could make my home Xbox again on the 8th of December. I just went to check and now I can't do it till the 15th of April. Thing is I didn't use any of my home Xbox switches and no one else has access to my account. Is there any way
I can get the switches back?

It is possible that u have ran out of gameshares on your xbox, now the thing is with gamesharing is that your only allowed 3 gameshares a year as from july this year. My best guess is to chat with an ambassador online and to let them see if there is an issue

Unfortunately it is not possible.

The only way for a switch to happen is for someone to sign into his account on a different xbox then what is currently the home xbox and make that xbox the home xbox.

If you are on your current home xbox and tell it to not have this as my home xbox anymore then before making a different xbox your home xbox decide to make that one your home xbox again it will not count as a switch.

There is a survey that your friend can take when the box comes up saying that he has used up all of his switches there is a link he can click on and take the survey to see if he would be eligible for them to give him another switch.

Your friend may want to change his password on his account to make sure that no one else has access to his account where they can sign in and make their xbox his profiles home xbox.

Once he changes his password it will require the new password to be entered whenever someone tries to sign in again with the account that hasnt already signed in with the new password.

There's no real way to switch the games to his account, however you can add your account to his Xbox, then just make sure his Xbox is set as

your home Xbox, and you can install the games you got for him on his console, and he will be able to play them with out any issues.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums with this question. In regards to gaining any additional switches, the only way to do so is via the Xbox Assist survey that you are offered after you receive the message that you have run out of switches.
If your console shows you’ve made five home Xbox switches for the year and you need assistance, select
Help when you see the message, Can’t make this your home Xbox. You may be eligible to receive an exception.
