is there any way for my american friends to buy me an xbox?

If they have offered to purchase a console for you there are 2 options:

1. Send you the money to purchase a console at your local retailer (either via paypal or another means)

2. Purchase a console in the US and send it to you via post or courier.

When I try to change my gamertag, in order to pay it asks me for my address. Only problem is, I'm not American and it only allows me to enter an American address. Is there any way I can change my gamertag as a non american?
Edit: I do have an address added to my microsoft account, but it does not show up

Ok kool then , yea i dont care about Downloadable Content , so my American Account will work and connect to Xbox Live? so i can still have my friend buy me a 3 month live subscription and just put that in and ill have few months extra on my live account?
and i have an American tredmill over here that i plug in my European black Adapter so it should work with an Xbox 360

No because you didnt pay for the code. Your friend did. Even then they wouldn't be able to give him any other region of a code except for a North American one since he has a North American account.

As Smwutches said the only option would be for your friend to request a refund. He can then use that refund money to buy another code from somewhere else that where he/she could get one specific to your region.

If I remember correctly your account and physical location must match or you will run into issues purchasing content.

The problem is that they shut down the Canadian store Xbox 360 market place so only Americans can download and buy Xbox 360 content. So the region of the store and the region of a non-American account won't ever match therefore restricting all non-Americans
from downloading Xbox 360 content. So basically non-Americans money isn't good enough for Microsoft.

I'm non American and still have access to the Xbox 360 store. I live in New Zealand and even my Australian friends (who are non American) can access the Xbox 360 store.

I still have my 360 console I got Xbox 2 years ago. My dad has an Xbox One and we only have one of that in our house. I have my own 360 console though. My mum is getting me my own Xbox One X console in November so I'm excited \^.^/

nothing for me I even had credit card for Canada but nope the black ops 2 season pass is still a no go for me or my friends
