    Is there any reason to *not* get the 360 digital version to get the xbox one version?


    When I got the xbox one, i moved the 360 to my vacation home (visit 1-2 a year).

    I was all set to get the xone version but now am thinking I should get the 360 digital version and then take the free one upgrade. this is because i will visit my vacation home again in dec and would love to not have to lug my one with me.

    since i live abroad, i buy all my games digitally on xbone. i have ps4 also so i can buy the ps4 version as well but i don't have a ps3 so it makes the 360 version most compelling atm.

    No it won't be more expensive because no one is making you get rid of your 360 or games. The Xbox one does offer a simi-solution, plug your 360 into the back of it.

    Microsoft support is allowed to refund one purchase a year as a courtesy.

    And yes, Destiny is a special case.

    If you buy the Xbox 360 version digitally, you get the 360 version AND the XBO version for $60.

    If you buy the Xbox One version digitally, you just get the XBO version for $60.

    There is -no- reason to buy the XBO digital version because of this.

    Nope no reason not to do it that way at all. The only reason I didn't get the 360 version was because I wanted my pre-order bonus, the digital guardian edition, and I'll probably never play the 360 version anyhow. Since you'll actually use the 360 version
    I think you should definitely get the 360 digital version and free One upgrade.

    Um... In my previous post I meant to say they SHOULD be doing that option for all games. The forum won't let me edit my post for some reason... ( just another reason to be *** at MS today... LOL)

    If you buy Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on 360, digitally, you get the Xbox One version for free.

    If you buy Destiny on 360, digitally, you get the Xbox One version for free.

    Those are the only buy last gen, get new gen deals that I'm aware of which are active at the moment.

    Yes the digital version of Ghosts was on the marketplace today. Basically if you buy the 360 digital version it's linked to your account and when the Xbox One edition is released you only have to pay $10. Also you get to keep both versions as to where physical
    discs you would have to trade the 360 version in for the X1 version.
