    Is there any possibility to get un-banned from Xbox Live?


    Unfortunately, in June 2011 I took advantage of an advertised promotion to buy 1 month of Xbox Live Gold for $1 Cdn.

    This set up a recurring billing that I was unable to turn off, and the only way I was able to evade the charges was to cancel my credit card number.

    Soon after my July 2011 billing went unpaid my Xbox Live account was suspended.

    It seems that ever since then I have been "perma-banned" from Xbox Live unless I pay for 1 month of Xbox Live Gold at full price for the month of July 2011.

    Is there any way for Microsoft to turn this decision around? Ever since this happened I have never played Xbox Live again nor bought any of the new Xbox consoles. As a matter of fact - I have never bought a single Xbox product of any kind.

    I feel like my hands are tied for life unless Microsoft can somehow resolve this issue.

    Is this a futile request?

    If your Xbox 360 was bought used its a possibility the console was banned and there isn't a way to un-ban the console .

    If you are going to buy a used console, I would suggest that you buy it from a place like Gamestop. If you get a banned console, there is NOTHING that you can do to get it un-banned. You cannot get on Xbox Live with a banned console, ever. So you would be
    limited to playing off line only.
