Is there an easy way to see game update/patch notes?

With the XB1 updating games in the background without any input from the player is there an easy way to see the patch notes and version number of each game(and the system too). Sometimes it's nice to know what is being fixed/adjusted in the games we are
playing. I can't seem to find any of this info on the console itself. I would think if you hit the menu button on the main dashboard while a game is selected it should have an "info" option with this info. But no such luck. The only way I seem to be able to
find this info is if a developer posts this on their website or puts out a press release. So is there another way to find this info that I am missing.

But... the main question was... Is there an easy way to add people without typing the person's whole gtag after exiting the game and going to friends.

^^That helps with the system OS, but not individual games and apps....to the OP, I don't think there is currently anything in place on the console for what you are requesting.

 

I just go to the indiv. game websites...

 

The games at the main menu on some have a version number lightly someplace on screen. But other than that its up to devs to display it

 

My mistake, I didn't read well enough.. I thought the OP was asking about games and system updates

 

I don't remember being able to view patch notes on the 360 either. You usually have have to go on the web to find that info. That is not something viewable on the console.

 

Yeah, these are typically down to the developer to add. For example for Killer Instinct you can find the patch notes in the game, but I dont expect most games to do that.
