Is there a way to turn off the Xbox One controller while using the wireless adapter

I understand this feature was never added for the 360 wireless adapter so this app was made Xbox 360 Controller Manager ... however it also never bothered me as the 360 removal of the battery pack and reconnecting
it was super quick and easy. Xbox One controller however not so quick and easy. Oh the Windows 10 Xbox Accessory app apparently only has feature for the Elite controller, a little disappointed there. In short, can we get more details and features please. Also
to have to download the drivers from the catalog instead of already being there for a Microsoft Product on a Windows 10 machine seems a little antiquated.

    :)

    Wireless technology?

    Hey RK1 Kitt,

While the addition of Bluetooth is for easily connecting to a Windows PC, all Xbox One controllers use Xbox Wireless to connect to the Xbox One console. The Xbox One console emits a wireless signal that the Xbox One controller connects to. While there isn't
a way to specifically turn this feature off, I suggest using a wired connection for your Xbox One controller and a wired network connection if you are looking to minimize any wireless signals.

Please let us know if this helped answer your question! Is there a way to turn off the Xbox One controller while using the wireless adapter :)

  3. Wireless Xbox One controller freezing my PC when I turn it off.

As it states in the subject, my Xbox One controller is freezing my PC every time I turn it off while its connected to the wireless network adapter. I bought the controller and adapter two months ago and they both worked flawlessly right out of the box. As
of three or four days ago, the controller freezes my PC every time I hold down the Xbox button to turn it off. This only happens while its wireless on the adapter. I've checked the drivers for both the controller and the adapter separately via the device manager
and supposedly both are up to date. Any thoughts?

Yes Press and Hold for a while will signal the firmware to turn the controller off.

I can confirm to turn off the controller you are required to hold down the guide button for about 5-7 seconds, slightly longer than on the consoles but it will turn the controller off.

    Bluetooth controllers

After extensive testing with a new Xbox One controller I recently purchased (This model:

    www.xbox.com/.../lunar-white-wireless-controller
), it seems that I was not able to connect. The Microsoft Support page (

    support.xbox.com/.../connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc
) explains with images down the page that certain Xbox controllers have Bluetooth support while others do not. While my controllers does match the one with Support in the image, I have figured that
only the new Xbox One S controllers have Bluetooth support (Listed in description:

    www.xbox.com/.../xbox-wireless-controller
), despite the image shown. The best way to connect non-Bluetooth controllers is to use the Windows wireless adapter (

    www.xbox.com/.../windows-wireless-adapter
) the adapter has benefits over Bluetooth, like being able to use your headsets, or connect multiple controllers, while connection through Bluetooth only allows for one controller at a time.
