Is there a way to turn off AUTOMATIC Game DVR Recordings?

    Is there a way to turn off AUTOMATIC Game DVR Recordings?


    I would like a way to keep my game DVR running, but disable games from automatically deciding when to record a clip. Does this exist? I realize that the whole game DVR can be turned off, but then I cannot record anything at all.

    If this is currently not possible, it absolutely needs to be.

    There was never one to turn automatic record off as far as I know. There is only the option to turn the DVR off completely!

    Hi All,

    The option to turn off automatic game dvr clips in preferences has gone.

    Playing fifa is driving me nuts as every save is recorded with a notification.

    Has the option to turn the feature off moved somewhere else ? Or can i no longer turn this feature off ?

    you can disable the auto record but you loose record that and you will need to manually start a DVR BEFORE, not end it. Or at least I think it is..

    BTW the auto records do not take up ANY space on your HDD so you should not be too worried about it

    You can go to settings and turn it off, don't worry you will still be able to tell it to record, it just won't record automatically anymore. Turn off the setting 'use dvr to record games'

    Turn off the game DVR completely. Settings preferences turn off game DVR. Note that with it off all gameplay recording including manual methods like record that and the DVR app will no longer be able to record. Hopefully they will add an option to turn off
    just the auto recording.

    Automatic game recordings are deleted after a while if you don't save them. But if you wish to turn the feature off go to settings/preferences and untick Record gameplay with game DVR. Whether this disables game DVR as a whole I don't know, I've not tried
    it. Also whilst in preferences untick Show all other notifications.
