Is there a way to save DVR clips to external hard drive?

I have a bunch of 3-5 mins videos I want to save to make a montage. Is there a way to just transfer them to an external hard drive? Or do I have to upload each file via that studio app, then save them from one drive. I'm really hoping not as that would take
awhile. Plus shocker... upload studio isn't working right now. It gets to 70% and fails.

    :)

Game DVR out of space - way to copy to another device?

Apparently I have run out of temporary space for my Game DVR clips. Is there a way to save these to the XB1 hard drive or Skydrive WITHOUT editing the files in Upload Studio first? Or perhaps a way to copy them to a flash drive. I wish these files were saved
to the hard drive, I have a TON of space on my external HD...

    Thanks!

  3. Game Clips Auto Deleting Without Warning.........

Throughout this entire issue I was FORCED to buy an External Hard Drive but that doesn`t explain 200-400 missing game clips. (2 months worth)

Sorry to hear that Upload Studio is failing on you. Try holding the power button for 10 seconds until the console shuts down to see if that helps.

In the meantime, I'm sorry to tell you that the DVR saves are stored on the console and not the hard drive.

Ugh go figure. I don't know why they wouldn't use their head and allow people to transfer to a hard drive. It would be completely a pain in the *** to upload each clip via upload studio.

  6. If you have an external hardrive pluged in to your xbox one the system will then take the xbox ones main harddrive and use it for a backup for when your external harddrive becomes full. As far as takeing games and apps from the xbox one harddrive to an external
yes that can be done by going to the setting and goto system setting and click on manage storage and select your system storage

I'm not worried about games and apps. I just wanted to create a couple videos by using multiple clips. Putting them in upload studio, then transferring them is annoying. Can't even play a game while they upload. So while they are uploading I have to walk
away and let them do their thing. Come back, load the next set rinse and repeat.

    Formatting Hard Drive

The Format Hard Drive function is also there so that you can format external USB 3.0 HDD's with the appropriate Xbox partition for saving games etc. By default, a new external HDD would come with a FAT or NTFS partition which cannot be used for installing
Xbox games. A NTFS partitioned external hard drive can be used however for extended Game DVR clips.
