    Is there a way to salvage hard drive data from a broken Xbox One S?


    I've had my old Xbox one S laying around since it broke in 2019, and today I pulled it apart and found out the motherboard is corroded badly and likely can't be salvaged. As far as I'm aware the hard drive should still be good, is there a way to salvage the game saves off of the old hard drive? Is it possible for me to plug the hard drive into my PC and copy the files that way? Or even simply swap the hard drive to my other working Xbox one S and copy them from there? I did not have home internet before 2022 so there is no "cloud" for me to simply pull them off of. And I'd like if I could save my old Minecraft worlds off of it, if possible.

    You would just have to sign into the same account on the new console. Anything you purchased is tied to your account and can be redownloaded from your games and apps. Saves are stored on the cloud and will resync when you start a game.

    There is already ways to transfer to different hard drives if both are working on the storage settings on xbox one.

    I have had problems with a broken hard drive before, There isn't away to transfer data if the drive is broken so a long reinstall process is whats needed to be done if they broken.

    There's no point in switching hard drives from your broken original Xbox to the Xbox One S. If you want more storage space simply buy an external hard drive.
