Is there a way to purchase ANYTHING without adding a creditcard?

Hi,

I recently bought an Xbox one because i wanted to replay the Fable series. Anytime i try to purchase anything on the platform it asks me to enter a creditcard as a payment method, i tried getting around it by adding currency to my microsoft account which
it recognizes but it still asks for a creditcard.

WHY?? MS you already have my money, why do you need me to enter a creditcard when my account already has currency on it?

Even when i try to add payment through paypal i just get an error and payment through Ideal makes me pay 0,01 euro for verification only to not be added as a payment option.

Note that i do not have a creditcard for i don't have any need for one and i'm not willing to pay a 17,50 euro monthly service cost for something i have no use for outside of xbox.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out.

Can't think of any other than Gift Cards, or another account buying it for you.

Yes, you may use an Xbox gift card that you can buy through a third-party retailer such as Gamestop in the US and GAME in the UK, that you can then redeem into your account and spend through your console.

In order to purchase backwards compatible content without a credit card or Paypal, you would have to make the purchase from a 360 console. Everything else can be purchased with a Microsoft account balance on the One. The One (and website) do not see the
Microsoft account balance as being a valid payment option for backwards compatible content. The only other way around that, would be to buy the games on disc outside of Xbox.

Sadly gift cards can not be used to buy xbox 360 games. You can use gift cards to buy xbox games, tv shows and movies through microsoft tv and movies. Really wish there was a way to combine the 360 marketplace with the xbox store. The only other way
you could play fable instead of buying the disc would be to sign up for xbox gamepass.

If you have a PayPal account you can link that to your MS account and pay that way. That is what I usually do when I buy from Microsoft. Also as others have mentioned you can buy a gift card and use that.
