Is there a way to purchase a game on the Xbox store without it downloading immediately?

I'm out of town right now, and I'd like to take advantage of one of the summer sale deals, however I need to wait to download it until the data cap on my internet service resets for the month (which will be after the sale ends). Is there a way to do this?

US Account Use in UK

I created my account in the USA, and did not bring my xbox one with me to the UK.

If I purchase an xbox one in the UK can I still use my US account without changing anything or starting completely over ?

What about downloading a game I purchase in the UK store, will it be available for me to download on my xbox one in the USA ?

You can purchase the game you need now and take advantage of the summer sale deals, put on hold the game until you got the appropriate amount of data to download the game and download it at a later time. The purchase will be registered under your account
and you can download the game at any time.

Yes, you should be able to. When you shop like on Xbox.com (through the computer or your phone) and purchase a game, it should say "this game will be downloaded the next time you turn on your Xbox" (or something along the lines of that) after you purchase
it.

Unless places like that offer a digital download, there is no way to do that until you have the actual disc. If the game is available for purchase through the Xbox Live marketplace (which that one is), you can purchase it through there and download and play
immediately without waiting for a disc.

You won't be able to download the game anyways without a valid payment method on file (Credit/Debit Card or PayPal Account). With the latest update, the Xbox One made it possible to purchase and download Xbox 360 games straight from the console. However,
this was done by mimicking the Xbox.com store. Therefore, the only way to download the free Games with Gold titles without having to put a payment method on your account is straight through an Xbox 360.

I too have a similar issue. When they announced 70+ titles added to backward compatibility, four of the titles immediately showed up as ready to install. But, I have at least eight other titles that I own, that don't show up.

When I check in the store app or on xbox.com, it says I need to purchase them. But, if I go to the old 360 marketplace.xbox.com, it says I already own them. I can even download the games to one of my Xbox 360's without a problem.

I wish there was a way to resolve this without spending hours on the phone. Ugh... this really sucks.
