Is there a way to point Xbox app to my already installed games?

Hi,

I've just reformatted my main hard drive and I have Gears 5 and Outer worlds installed on another SSD, I was wondering if there was any way to point the xbox app to those install directorys so i dont have to redownload the games again like I can in Steam
and Battlenet.

Hi SirSwish83,

as I know you can change the default storage at the XBOX (Beta) App in Settings. But I do not think, that the app will recognize already installed games. I think you have to redownload them. (Maybe I am wrong)

Hi there,

you can't change or install any apps by downloading the .exe or installer file on the Xbox One console.

Apps can only updated via My Games and Apps or installed via the Store on the console.

I don't think there is a way to delete anything that was downloaded via a browser on the console, it might already be automatically deleted too, but there is no way to check that as far as I know.

Hey everyone,

The Xbox One Preview app should be located in your 'Ready to install' list in 'My games & apps' if you already enrolled in the Preview Program. You'll find that list when you scroll all the way to the right on the apps section of 'My games & apps'.
