Is there a way to mute all microphones?

So I was playing Magic 2015 and when I won quickly and easily, my opponent started started yelling and cursing and calling me every foul name in the book over his mic. He also seemed to really be perturbed by the fact I don't use a mic, apparently he thinks
that if I had one, then we could have screamed and cursed at each other and that would have helped things along. The game then disconnected since I'd won and the match was over, so he then sent me two foul and vulgar voice messages and one foul and vulgar
text message. All of this in less than two minutes while I was still trying to fumble around and figure out how to report and block him, I've never had to do that before. All of that is fine, I did report each of his communications with me as well as his vulgar
in game talking, and I blocked him.

But then I decided I really don't want to experience people screaming and cussing over their mics at me again. Inside the Magic 2015 game you can mute your opponent, but only on a match by match basis. So my question is, is there a way on the 360 to mute
ALL in game mic sounds in general, like from the dash rather than having to do it match by match from inside the game?

    :)

Is there a way to mute/block players?

I apologize I got all into the blocking aspect and forgot about the mute question. Yes, there is. If you notice a player in lobby that you want to mute press X, you will be able to highlight the player and then select mute from there. Now, if, during the
game there's a player you decide you want to mute you have to hold done the select button then scroll down to highlight the player you want to mute and press X.

I suggest doing that during your respawn time if you can. Also, a tip, get used to pressing select during respawn. That way you can see your team score and see the players who are contributing the most. Finally if you haven't done it yet make sure to change
your Service Tag from the default 117. It really helps your team to be able to recognize who is who. Even if you aren't using a mic it is important to be able to see different service tags above your teammates heads. Good luck! I'll see ya on the battlefield.

Yes there is and that is one of the things I love about the XB1 the "player review" works a lot better than on the 360. Now you may completely block a player and never have to play against or with them again.

You have posted this in the MCC section so I will explain the steps as if you are at the end of a match. Select the GT that you wish to block, select View Gamercard, select Report or Block (these are two separate things), select Block. If you did this correctly
a message will pop up, "You'll no longer get their messages or invites, and they can no longer see your online activity. If they were on your friends list they will be removed." And that is that.

You can also choose to Report a player. I won't go over all the reasons why, but you can view them for yourself. Reporting does not Block and vice versa. Reporting will affect their Rep, and determine they ability to match up with other players of similar
Rep. But don't go Reporting everyone you simply don't like. Make accurate reports. They are checked for accuracy.

That's all I can think of. Post again if you have more questions.

    Microphone input is extremely low

All drivers on the controller and console are updated, I don't know how to check for headset drivers via Xbox. As for mixers, the headset only comes with a simple audio output control, and microphone mute, both of which haven't been messed with (as in,
the microphone isn't muted, and changing the slider doesn't affect microphone input).

Mic appears to be stuck on mute.

Hi, in party there is a setting to mute your microphone, if that is pressed it mutes your microphone without turning the light on the headset on.

Check in your party settings to see if your microphone is muted. If this works for you or if you need more help, post a reply! :)
