    Is there a way to make a complaint about chat staff?


    I'd like to if possible get hold of some kind of senior management to make a complaint about how I am being treated as a paying customer by the service center staff who have caused me to now effectively have a £300 brick that cannot be returned to a retailer

    There is no way to transfer anything from one account to another. It's simply not possible.

    Isn't there a way to put separate passwords on accounts so people can't sign into them on a shared console? I thought there was before but I can't remember where the settings are at on the console.

    To clear things up some if there is some confusion with my question, I am not asking for a way to change the password on my XBL account. I am asking if there was like a short 4-letter/number password you can put individually on each account to prevent them
    from being signed into.

    What happened?

    If you have a gripe, I would call the freephone number and ask to speak to a supervisor. If one isn't available, you can ask for one to call you back.

    I had a faulty console late last year, got an advanced replacement (which was clearly a refurb console as it had a random gamertag attached to it despite being wrapped up as brand new), with a £340 hold put on my bank account for the privilege of them replacing
    their broken console.

    Within 2 days this replacement console died (diff issue to the first)

    At this point I tried to return it to the store as I've had enough and would rather just buy a different console than have to keep replacing these unreliable pieces of junk, the store would not take it back because it has a diff serial number than the one
    they sold to me, so Microsoft by sending me a faulty console have effectively voided my warranty with the retailer. I was not informed this would be the case at any point of having it replaced.

    In the mean time I am still £340 down from this "hold" for the advanced replacement, which I was told multiple times chat and phone staff by would be released back to my account within 48 hours of them receiving the faulty console, It took just over three
    weeks from them receiving the console for me to get this money back.

    I am now at the point of trying to do something about this faulty, second hand "replacement" console that I have been sent, which I cannot return to the retailer due to microsoft and cannot use due to microsoft sending me a faulty one.

    My only options are another £340 (which far exceeds the value of a console only, specially a second hand faulty one) hold for god knows how long (the last was over a month in total), or send them the console to repair which takes up to 6 weeks supposedly,
    which judging by their other time estimates means at least 12, Neither of these are a positive solution for me, the paying customer.

    I've some how gone from spending £350 on a brand new console a couple of months back to ending up with an unreturnable, unsellable second hand brick that turned up faulty with someone elses gamertag still attached to it and am being told by staff with horrific
    levels of customer service that my only options are shelling out another £340 for weeks on end, or having no console for weeks on end because of something that is absolutely no fault of my own.

    I will never purchase another microsoft product if this is not resolved.

    Unfortunately there is no way forum staff are able to help you with membership details. I would recommend speaking to Xbox Chat Support over the phone this time, and ask for a supervisor. Then you will need to detail what has happened with them.

    If you have all of the times, and transcripts of your chat, this will make it easier for the supervisor to help you with this and their investigation -If they need to investigate what has happened, and why.

    Only chat support have access to bank and billing information and account details. This is for yours, and other peoples protection. This is because community forums are not the best place to deal with personal identifiable information (PII) because of the
    security hazard it has been on here. Where as Phone, or chat, support is in a more secure (and safe) environment.
