    Is there a way to install Cod Ghosts 360 on the Xbox one without the disc?


    I know Cod Ghosts is backwards compatible, but it will not install. I have tried taking my console offline and clearing the local saved games and neither have worked. When I take my console offline it does not recognize the disc it is just a blank download that will not start. Both will stop around 700MB

    Does the Xbox One game installation help protect against disk damage?

    The whole game is installed but the disc is still needed to verify ownership.

    I know this because my friend has COD Ghosts on disc installed. If I go to his house and sign in with my profile the game will work without the disc because I own the digital version. If I am not signed in the disc is needed.

    it also released on xbox one. if you check amazon there are disc versions of it kind of like cod ghosts. i put the 360 disc in and it downloaded. you dont think it will donwload even though it also released on xbox one?

    I'm having the same problem. My lady bought COD Ghosts for me from target, no disc inside just 25 code. Typed it in my xbox one and it said download was only avail for 360. How do i install for xbox one. The game says it's a download for both consoles which
    is strange to me.

    You haven't stated if you are using a Xbox 360 or a Xbox One. If you are trying to install on a Xbox One, then the whole game installs without the need to install the 2nd disc. If you are using a Xbox 360, then you do not need to install the discs.
