Formatted a External to use on my Xbox One but now my computer is not recognizing it

Hello there! So when you format an external hard drive on the XBOX One, the console formats the drive into a file system that a computer PC cannot see. The 360 did not do it that way. A lot of the reason the drive is formatted that way is to prevent piracy,
I would assume. This is an article I found when I Googled search this issue. There are others like it to.

    So I hope this helps!

Hey HumnRekngMachn! You should be able to connect the external drive to your PC and then right click and select "Format" on it in File Explorer. Give that a shot, post back and let me know how it goes!

Mister CiZi, I have the same problem and I've plugged the drive into 2 different PC's and neither can see the drive is connected, therefore I can't right click on it. Is there anything else I can try?

After upgrading to the latest build, my near empty 2.7 tb external storage drive is now 100% full. Why?

Hard Reset your console by PRESSING AND HOLDING the white logo on console for 10 sec, then unplug external hard drive, take the external hard drive and try to format it on the PC. After the format on the PC, plug back into console and see if you can reformat
it on console , so it can be used again for games
