Is there a way to deactivate the glowing Xbox button on the controller?

Hello,

I like to play my Xbox One in the dark, but the glowing button in the middle of the controller is incredibly bright and therefore annoying as hell. I've looked through every system option but I couldn't find a way to deactivate or at least dim the glowing
of the button. Is there a hidden way to do it outside of taping over it? it's -really- annoying.

Is there any way to deactivate my other accounts or delete them? They have caused a lot of trouble for me over the years and I know there is a way to deactivate the Microsoft account, but what about the Xbox account?

Hello, unfortunately it's not possible.

 

You can not deactivate the light on the controller, but you can control it's brightness to dim it only if you have

Xbox Elite Controller.

 

It's silly that you cannot do it. I just stick a piece black electrical tape over it.

 

I don't believe you can, but don't feel bad, you could have to deal with that insane massive glowing blue light the PS4 controller has LOL.

Side note please don't put tape on the controller, it could damage it!

 

This could be a great idea for the Xbox Design Lab, to have a darkest shape Xbox button.

 

i have always wanted to dim or switch off the consoles power button light and the controller light, tape is the only option and you won't damage the control doing it (cheap electrical tape as its peels off without leaving residue)

would be nice to have this in the future though

And yes, the PS4 glow is even more annoying as it reflects in the TV screen. But that's a different topic for a different forum...

 

I never noticed how bright it was until i read this. Now i cant unnotice.

 

I'm not sure if it's going to be set up on the classic controller, but when you open the Xbox Accessories application on Xbox, the light in this application dims or shuts down completely.
