    Is there a way to check detailed network statistics without having to do a system update?


    I had just moved from New Jersey to Florida and was not able to use my xbox for a little less than a month. It was in a moving truck the whole time. I set it up and am now trying to do the system update that I am required to do to do anything online. The
    problem is that the download is going painfully slow. I have been trying the update for about 2 hours have have gotten to 9%. It went to 6% said there was an error, I tested the connection and it went right back to downloading it. I have a 250 Mb download
    speed and have tested it on my phone and computer multiple times in the location that my xbox is in. I tried going offline then going online to test right from that screen but it brought me right to the update screen. All I am trying to do is test my network
    statistics on my xbox to see if it is the xbox's connection to the wifi that is the problem or what. If there is a way to do this without doing the update please let me know. Thanks in advance.

    Still having download issues with Halo 5...

    Hey everyone!

    Just to check and make sure everything looks ok, can you share your detailed network statistics on the console? To get the console's detailed network statistics press the menu button while on the home screen and visit Network. While there if you scroll to
    the right you can select detailed network statistics.

    Also to check, are you saving to the console's internal storage or are you using an external device?

    If you have a Xbox One, you might try the Offline Update solution
    on this page here    . With that, you'll download the update to an USB drive on your PC, which is usually more reliable in downloading, and you might even try a download manager that can resume aborted downloads.

    If you have a Xbox 360, you can
    follow the instructions on this page     to copy the update to an USB drive or burn it on an optical disc.

    Hi! You may want to follow these steps below. But before you do that, make sure to check your Detailed Network Statistics first to avoid issues reloading the update.

    1. Check Detailed Network

    Go to Settings > All Settings > Network > Network Settings > Detailed Network Statistics

    Download Speed should at least be 5mbps

    2. Reset console to factory defaults. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. This will save you from downloading or reinstalling the large game files.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select System.
    5. Select Console info & updates.
    6. Select Reset console.

    check your network in System > Settings > Network to make sure you're connected.

    check multiplayer connection and detailed statistics.

    you could also restart your router.
