Is there a way to change the numbers in your gamertag?

You can make a unique gamertag that nobody has, just think about something new or something nobody would choose and it won't have the # numbers in it, generate one that's unique or think of something, good day 😊

No. The randomly generated numbers are meant to be random so no 2 people can have the same tag.

Name or trying thr name again fit another random set

The reason for the change was so people didnt have to useE a different spelling and got a randomized number to .are it unique

I have changed my gamertag and when I am online playing games it will show up as User and then have a lot of numbers. I even paid to have my gamertag changed and it still does the same thing. Is there a way I can change this. I want for the right gamertag to show up when I am online.

It means someone else already had the same gamertag as you.

Whenever you change your gamertag to something that someone is already using itll put numbers at the end to differentiate you and other players who have the same gamertag.

Itll show you how your gamertag would look before completing the purchase including if it will have numbers at the end.

The only way to get a gamertag without the numbers at the end would be to change it to one no one else has.

Hello! The added numbers to your gamertag (Example: #0004) is due to the new gamertag system that Xbox has recently added, which allows people to use already used gamertags. Secondly, unless you haven't used up your free gamertag change (With the new system,
you're given a free gamertag change), the only way to change it is to pay for the gamertag change.
