Is there a way I can have my old Gamer-Tag recovered somehow or moved to a new account?

I have been locked out of my old Microsoft Account from 5+ years ago and was wondering if I can have the Gamer-Tag on the account recovered somehow. The account is
[Mod Removed] and the Gamer-Tag is Andenanien.

I can no longer access the email [Mod Removed] to reset the password as it no longer exists but my current email is on the account as a secondary email address if that helps. I have also tried the secret question and "I don't have any of
these" options to no avail. I also still have the Xbox 360 that I used to use with the account on it if that also helps.

I would like to have my Gamer-Tag recovered somehow as I have considerable time and financial investments with the account as well as achievements that can no longer be obtained.

Aha! That is the answer. I recently recovered an old tag that had the game tied to it. Is it a problem if the licence has somehow transferred to my account?

I'm not even sure if you can help, but when i moved from Australia to the U.S i could not recover my GT so i just made a new one. Now i'm really missing my old tag but, i can not for the life of me remember the live I.D. Is there anyway that you can somehow
do it for me if i gave you enough info on that tag? Or am i just stuck with these X's in my name lol

 

If you no longer have access to the email on that account you can contact
support.xbox.com/contact-us and they will assist you in trying to recover the account.

 

I've already tried that route and was told that the account cannot be recovered because it has been marked as inactive and the only way to re-activate an inactive account is to enter a 9 digit code that is emailed to the primary email address on the account
which no longer exists. I'm stuck in a loop of "I need to update the email address because it n longer exists but need access to the email to update it'"

Is there any was to escalate this request further?

If that does not work, you may contact Xbox Support for other options to recover your account: Contact Us | Xbox Support
