Well the thing is if you want to get your games to download while it's off turn your Xbox into instant on mode the game will download when it's off to let you know that's actually a quicker way to download it because all the other network features shut
off except the download section

Yes, there is. If you go into System > Settings > Power & Startup > Power Mode & Startup, there should be an option to never power down your Xbox, under the 'Turn off after' drop down field. The default setting is to shut down after 6 hours of inactivity.

Hi. I think every Xbox One versions has a settings on console under Power & startup and there is an option called Turn off after. Well for that, set it to Don't turn off automatically

My issue is that the fan ticks. The console is set up in a bedroom. When everything is turned off (or on standby), I hear this fast "tick, tick, tick" from the Xbox One PSU. I specifically built my PC to be as close to silent as I could make it, so I can
even hear the Xbox One PSU ticking over the sound of my PC when that's turned on. I'm not saying that the noise is "loud", because it's not. But any noise that can clearly and constantly be heard when a product is supposedly turned off is not good, especially
an annoying ticking sound.

Hi thanks for the reply. I am still really confused why there is "When xbox is off, turn off storage" because what does it actually do if you unchecked it because so far I have it checked, all my updates are downloading and installing fine I can install
disks onto my external HDD and then turn my xbox off in instant on mode and it just turns it self on and off when ever there is something to install so what is the actually point of having this option or am I missing something?
