is there a serial number on xbox one controllers. My controller model is 1697, got it from ...

my right analog stick has not been working properly when I push it down the camera on any game it stops then goes then stops instead of it being smooth and go all the way, and so far I haven't found any way to fix this and no its not a drift even though
it does drift its not only that. So I decided hey maybe I could get a new controller by registering it but I have no way in doing this because the xbox support doesn't have a option for xbox controllers and there warranties. So what do I do now. how do I know
if the controller I bought from game stop has a warranty, keep in mind that I have no idea where I put the receipt.. Thank for all who helps

Xbox One Controller works on PC wired but not with Wireless Adapter

Could you check channels' assignment on all your controllers?

In my configuration issue follows the highest used channel number, not a controller.

For example:

- Standard Black Model 1537 (channel 2) works

- Titanfall limited edition Model 1537 (channel 3) works

- Halo 5 Master Chief limited edition Model 1697 (channel 4) works

- Standard Black Model 1697 (channel 5) doesn't work

Then try to reinstall XOWA and connect controllers in different order (ie connect Model 1697 as first) - this will show if it is particular controller model issue or adapter/driver issue.

Check channels' assignment again and verify which controllers work.

There are several topics related to multiple controllers configuration with XOWA.

Maybe we will find common issue and finally it will be fixed by MS.

 

Chat Headset model 1564 is not recognized by controller model 1708, but is recognized by controller model 1697

- Chat Headset model 1564 is not recognized by newer controller model 1708, but is recognized by older controller model 1697 (and older). Party chat/xbox doesn't recognize it, mute button doesn't work, volume doesn't work, mic/ear piece doesn't work, etc.

- happens on 2 different 1708 controllers (1 brand new from box)

- headset is brand new from box

- controllers are all updated with latest firmware

- 1708 controllers recognize older chat headset (but mic is broken - also model 1564 mic) and recognize 3.5mm headsets (3rd party brands)

- system has been power cycled multiple times, controllers have been powered on/off multiple times

- new mic is not recognized in controller setups on newer 1708 controllers

- old mic and 3.5mm headphones are recognized on newer 1708 controller and older versions in controller setup options

- xbox gamer chat support suggested possible faulty controllers - hard to believe it's the exact same thing on 2 different controllers bought a year apart happening at the same time.

any suggestions/ideas?

It should be in the battery compartment right under the barcode on a white or grey area of that sticker.
