Is there a quicker way to save a Live subscription?

My wife is a gamer. But she hasn't played her 360 in at least six months. I think a lot of the reason was because every time she turned the console on she got a message that she needed to verify her account security or something along those lines. The problem
was that she had an old email that she hadn't used for years and doesn't have access to. Unfortunately it wouldn't let her just update the info on the console so she just kind of gave up.

Well, we picked her up her own XB1 the other day. Before hooking it up I asked her to get her Live account in order. She went on xbox.com and of course couldn't get logged in. So she did something that allowed her to change the email on the account but after
she did that she received a message saying that the verification would take 30 DAYS. What?!? She called 800-4-MY-XBOX and they basically told her there wasn't anything they could do.

There has to be a work around. Otherwise, why on Earth would we keep the console if she can't play it until December? We were pretty stoked about playing the MCC and AC Unity together. So much for that.

Is there a quick way to access episodes?

I'm watching a tv series...and my kids are watching the same series at a different time. I can quickly start that show from the "continue watching" section. Is there a quick way to see the episode list so that I can start a different episode? (Without
having to manually search for the show all over again...which is a huge hassle. This was easy to do on the 360. I'm surprised at how much better the 360 Netflix UI experience seems to be over the One.

There is no way to transfer anything from one account to another. It's simply not possible.

 

the very reason for this 30d is security. if someone got hands on your account and tries to setup his security information you as the real owner will recieve an email/sms that notifies you on this attempt and lets it cancel immediatly. if you dont have access
to this information security is not guaranteed, if there is no one within these 30d claiming his account is stolen you are accepted. if your wife changed the email in the past this would have been done in seconds. change, verify, play.

but it also says "you can use your account normally" so did you try sign in her profile in xbox one at all?

 

No, because I didn't want to hook it up and then find out that she can't use it. She isn't able to sign in on xbox.com but you're saying she should still be able to sign in on the console? Can she try on her 360 first?

The other issue is that her Gold expired a few days ago.

Don't get me wrong, I fully understand the security guidelines and I understand why they are there. I'm not trying to say they are a bad thing. I just wish there was a way for the legitimate account holder to resolve this quicker.

as long as she has the email and password correct sign it should be possible, but managing would be locked during this 30days.

 

That sounds like what is going on. So she can sign in using the old credentials. So, setting up her XB1 shouldn't be an issue then, correct?
