    Is there a proper forum for the Xbox One Sling TV app?


    I apologize if there is one as I have searched and cannot come up with anything.

    Watching live TV during prime time seems to be a disaster right now. Load screens that go nowhere And odd glitches left and right. I really want to like this app and service but as of right now I cannot justify spending the money on it. All of my other
    streaming services are flawless.

    Sling TV app buffering every 2 seconds

    Disclaimer: My ISP provides me with 60 Mb/s download speeds. Sling TV works great on my wireless Roku 3 and wireless laptops. Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and other apps have zero problems on my Xbox One.

    Sling TV is constantly buffering on the Xbox One and its a wired connection. Searching about this issue tells me I'm far from being alone. The fact that Sling TV does not have a forum here says a lot. Many newer, lesser used apps, have a forum here.

    I realize that the ultimate burden is with Sling TV but why do I have the feeling their servers are forced to be on the Microsoft network much like they did with Netflix?

    I think you should try it, but you should really get something like Netflix, or try YouTube, I highly recommend Amazon Instant Video, Comady Central, or Hulu!

    Hey everyone!

    Sorry to hear about the issues with the Sling TV app! If you haven't already, I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

    • First, navigate to My games & apps from the Home screen.
    • From the apps tab, select the Sling TV app.
    • Press the menu button on your Xbox One controller.
    • Select Manage app and press the menu button.
    • Select Uninstall.
    • Once the Sling TV app has uninstalled, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Unplug the power cord to your Xbox One console and unplug the power cord to your router, modem or gateway.
    • Wait 5 minutes and the plug in your console, router, modem or gateway.
    • Power on your console and navigate to My games & apps from the Home screen.
    • Scroll to the right and select the Sling TV app under the Ready to install section.
    • Select Install and once the app has installed, check to see if you are running into the same issue.

    Give the suggested steps a try and if the issue continues to occur, I recommend reaching out to Sling TV for further assistance. You can reach Sling TV from their Contact Us page.

    Thoughts on Sling TV?

    it works better on PC. I bought an Amazon Fire TV and plugged it into my Xbox One and the app for Amazon works 100% better. You can also use the Watch ESPN app through the Fire TV once you have a Sling account.
