Is there a one-page guide for dummies?

Xbox makes me feel like an elderly, technophobic idiot which is ironic since my career is all about technology innovation. But I don't get Xbox. My frustration is primarily with the account management process and while I know that is not an issue about the
console, appropriate to this forum, I couldn't find anywhere else to ask this.

I want to know the minimum set of login/accounts needed so that my kids will be able to play their games and not access anything of mine if I ever get around to playing Assasin's Creed that came with the xbox. Right now, I their account is locked out, so
they are using my account which they used to activate a trial subscription of xbox live.

I just want my 3 kids to be able to play games. I don't want to do any online chatting and I don't want to connect xbox to netflix or any of that- We had this "account" DancyMantella58 and right now, I am logged in as "DavidRunning" and also I have a microsoft
account. I think these two named accounts are "gamertags" or something? I recall, during the install process, there were some other accounts we had to create, but I can't remember any of that now. My kids do not have email addresses and I do not want to associate
my email addresses with them. I'm not a paranoid parent or anything, but I want to use this as a game platform, not an entertainment/media platform.

I am thinking the smart thing to do is to start over and create new accounts for the kids. Or should it be a single shared account? Is there a way to eliminate all the password screens without risking unauthorized purchases? What I would like to see, as
a user experience, is that we are able to use the xbox without every having to enter a password and I would like to make sure none of my financial information is in the system. I understand identify is important, fine...but can we just get rid of the passwords
at least?

Page Up, Page Down don't Work on One Guide

I reset one of the entries where C1982 can be set (the other had that code already in place), now the following is the result:

1. I say "XBOX Show Guide", the guide appears with commands in green displayed such as "Page Up", Page Down" at the bottom. If I say "Page Up" or "Page Down" while the green commands are present the guide scrolls as expected.

2. If I wait until the commands in green disappear, saying "Page Up" or "Page Down" do nothing. If I preface the command by saying "XBOX Page Up" nothing happens.

The question is, why does this only work for a limited period? Is there some other setting I have failed to set?

I have The official Guide, I dont think there is any diffrence between them, only the Limited Collectors Guide has a Hard Back cover, But I may be wroung.

Hi there, basically it's going to be the best if you set-up an account for each of them, you can have the parent account and add them to your family, this way you can control content they view, to who they can interact with or even play online.

You should also set your console to the 'home' setting this will enable one gold subscription for everyone on the console as well as allowing everyone to access your games etc. I have add some links below with official information that should get your started.
