  1. Is There a Minimum Broadband speed to use Twitch with!

I have been trying since 8am this morning to get Twitch working. Ive opened ports on Router ive tried Wired / Wireless connections, i've used troubleshooter, Uninstalled, Reinstalled, Cancelled connections, and everything
else i can BUT IT STILL WONT WORK!!!

Ive gone from having it "testing bandwidth" , and going back to same screen. All the way through to it now telling me Broadcast Failed.

Some please help me before i through this £500 VCR through the window.

Seems to me like Xbox have sent out another update , that isnt complete. Or is it the fact that they have added an app that only people with superfast broadband can use. Never mind the rest of us!!

Still Disappointed with the features on XB1 atm!!

    PLEASE HELP!!!

    :)

    Xbox one broadband requirements

There is no minimum broadband requirements for Xbox One. Microsoft is not that cruel. I live in a city and our household has ADSL2 broadband. Tested my speed and its usually between 7.9 and 8.9MB/sec download and 0.8MB/sec upload. Still... that IS still
classed as Broadband speed and is much better than Dial-Up speeds. I tried downloading a 2 minute Youtube simple video once at dial up speeds, took about 90 minutes. Some features may have like a recommended minimum broadband speed. Not all of us have parents
families or such with ultra fast fibre optic broadband speeds, which ISP's charge more for than normal ADSL broadband speeds.

    Recommended Internet Connection in Montreal?

Broadband Internet. There is no mandatory minimum broadband speed for Xbox gaming. Xbox One will also have much more servers to play with - 300,000 Xbox Live servers compared to the 15,000 Xbox Live servers for Xbox 360. You do not have to have ultra fast
fibre optic broadband internet though the faster speeds do help. ADSL Broadband is fine. Mine is around 8.0+mb/sec down and 0.8mb/sec up. Some apps of Xbox stuff may state "recommended" minimum speeds like 2mb/sec etc. Ultra fast fibre optic broadband would
help since Xbox One supports larger numbers in multiplayer.

You can also test your internet speed on the Xbox itself in Settings -> Network.

I think the minimum speed that you can stream at is 800Kbps (Low) and up to 2500Kbps (High). This doesn't take into account the bandwidth to play a game online in addition to streaming. If you don't have enough UP, it will not be possible.

    Try the following:

    1. Go to www.twitch.tv/.../connections and disconnect your Xbox One from twitch

    2. On your Xbox One dashboard, highlight twitch and press start button (the one with the lines on it to the left of the X button). A menu will pop up. Select 'manage app.' Move to the right under 'Saved Data' and delete that from 'everywhere.' Then 'Uninstall
    twitch.'

    3. Turn off your xbox by pressing the button on the box.

    4. Phsyically unplug your Xbox One's power cord from the socket.

    5. You need to 'drain' the remaining power from your Xbox One. To do this, just press your finger over the the power button area on the console for 30 seconds

    6. With your Xbox One still unplugged, go to your Twitch dashboard on the Twitch website. From there, on the top right you will see 'Stream Key.' Select that. it will say 'Anyone can use this key to broadcast to your channel so do not to show it on video.'
and with have a button 'Show Key.' Click that and reset you stream key.

    7. Now you can plug your Xbox One back in and power it up. Then you need to Install Twitch Again.

    8. Launch Twitch on your Xbox One and go to 'Log in.'

    9. It will give you the Key for you to punch in at
    http://twitch.tv/activate
. It will tell you if it was successful or not.

    10. Load the game you are going to broadcast before you snap twitch. This gives the Xbox One a chance to load and everything should sync properly.

    11. When you are ready to broadcast, make sure your Kinect cam is up and running as well as your actual game feed. I.E. make sure your preview screen is fully loaded and running.

    12. You are ready to broadcast.
