Is there a limit to how much you can store on your xbox via the file explorer

Try using movies and streaming TV from pc on Xbox, so save space. Indeed better yet if you have OneDrive you can upload them and see them directly from the console

I think that there's an upper limit for all the UWP app's on the xbox. For example, the storage is shared between the File Explorer and say a Reddit reading app. I'm guessing it's there to prevent UWP from eating up the entire hard drive, but I haven't
found anything official yet.

this post by Xbox Insider "File Explorer is no longer available on Xbox One. The app has been removed due to limited usage."

However, you should still be able to find apps on the Store that service a similar purpose and may assist you with fulfilling your needs.

I tried all the Apps except the ones that require me to buy them. None of them gave me access to the files to where I can delete them. Only add new files via said apps. Thanks for your time and help but this was indeed my last resort.

File explorer was of very limited use on the console so they ended support, simply not worth it. Go into manage store highlight the game and click manage you can see add-ons there.
